Belmont

Not really, but now you've been fully warned.

The annual March Madness dance is upon us. Here's a look at a few of my picks (keep in mind that I have done no research, I've only seen about 12 of these teams play this year, and my favorite color is green):
  • Iowa will win two games, first against Northwestern State (glad its not Northwestern U.) and then against Southern Illinois. Texas will take Iowa out in the third round by a score of 64-58.
  • UNI will beat Georgetown in round one, then go down to Ohio State in round two.
  • No Big Ten team will lose in the first round. Ohio State will go the furthest, reaching the final four before losing to UConn.
  • First round upset winners (usually 25 percent of the underdogs win in the first round): NC Wilmington, Southern Illinois, NC State, Bucknell, Alabama, Wisconsin, Montana, Northern Iowa.
  • Final Four: Duke vs. Gonzaga, UConn vs. Ohio State.
  • Championship game: Duke beats UConn 74-68.

Don't say I didn't tell you so.

Go Panthers!

Nice to see Wichita State lay some smack down on Seton Hall.
