The buyers that came through the house on Wednesday apparently weren't very impressed. The feedback from the realtors was excellent, however, they're not the ones buying. One buyer commented that he thought the roof looked bad. So I had the roof inspected yesterday and it is just fine for another 15 years. The second buyer was pretty sure they wanted to make an offer on a different house, but felt they needed to see ours first. After walking through, they made their offer on the other house. If my house could talk, it would be devastated.
We had two more buyers go through Thursday night. At least we're getting some traffic. Our first open house will be Sunday. Everyone tells us the house will sell fast. Hope so. I go to inspoect the new house in an hour and expect everything's fine. Gotta lock in the interest rate today if I can. They went up this week (bummer) and I sense they could get higher instead of lower in the coming weeks. Once the hurricane isn't quite the headline news it has been, I suspect the markets will get back to the trends they were already experiencing this year, which includes slightly higher rates.
No feedback on my Iowa vs. Iowa State prediction. That probably means I'm the only one reading this thing. Uhley should have written in by now with a Clones victory prediction. If he comes here, I better have my joke ready ...
Q: What do you get when you line up 24 Iowa State co-eds?
A: One nice set of teeth.
I'm leaving this afternoon for a church leadership conference in St. Louis. "How do you get 80 percent of the people working, rather than the usualy 20 percent doing 80 percent of the church ministry?" is the approximate subject of the weekend. About 10 hours of van time will probably be just as valuable as anything we here during the conference.
Like to have a house offer by the time I post on Monday.
Go Hawks!!!

Saw much of the game. I was suprised they broadcast it here in Michigan. Must be the Big 10 connection or something. Iowa did not look good.
