Badgered

That's what the Hawks are going to be tomorrow.

Review: After the Ohio State game, when Iowa was 2-2, I said they would finish 5-6. After sprinting to 5-2, they are now 5-4.

After tomorrow they will be 5-5. Wisconsin is playing its last home game for Barry Alvarez. Alvarez has been Wisconsin's most winning coach in school history, after serving as an assistant coach at Iowa and high school coach in Mason City (or maybe it was Fort Dodge). His team's have equalled, and perhaps surpassed, the success Iowa had under either Fry or Ferentz.

Tomorrow, the crowd in Madison is going to witness the coach's last Camp Randall victory.

Wisconsin 27
Iowa 21

Bobby Jon Drinkard (great bartender's name, eh) got the Survivor send-off last night. He fell victim to a number's game, and to Gary finding the hidden immunity idol. I've said before that I like Bobby Jon as a contestant ... I wonder if I would like him in real life. Strikes me as a guy with very little brain (as Pooh would say), but a good heart. He certainly is a physical specimen.

Danni is probably next to go. Too bad.

There's a chance that our home closing could be moved up to Nov. 21 from Dec. 3. The sellers are ready to move out early. We're waiting for word from our buyer about his flexibility to change our previously agreed-upon date. We'll see what happens. Either way, it's not long now.
